Fertilization Program:

In conjunction with leading local and nationally recognized horticulturists, Frisco Lawn Company has created a fertilization and weed control program that will keep your lawn healthy, thick, and free of pesky weeds.

Fertilization – We only use top quality, timed-released, high-nitrogen, fertilizer. The soil here in Frisco is primarily composed of high-alkaline clay.  Often our soil lacks the proper amount of Nitrogen for healthy grass growth. Each year, beginning in early Spring, and continuing through early Fall (active growing season) it is recommended that your lawn be fertilized once every four to eight weeks.

Pre-Emergent Weed Control – Pre-emergent weed control can be administered via a spray application or granular application. Pre-emergent herbicides kill or prevent most common types of nuisance weeds and grasses from germinating. The primary reason for pre-emergent application is for the prevention and control of Crabgrass, Goosegrass, White Clover, and other grassy or broadleaf weeds.

Post-Emergent Weed Control – Post-emergent herbicides are applied via spray, and only after we’ve properly identified the weeds in your lawn. Our licensed technician will inspect your lawn to determine what type of broadleaf or grassy weeds are present, and apply a post-emergent herbicide to control those specific weeds.

Insect & Grub Worm Control:

Insect Control – Applications of insecticide to control grub worms and other turf insects are active for approximately 90 days.

Fire Ant Control – If you let us know, our technician can bait the mounds; however, this is no guarantee that you will see a resurgence of fire ant mounds.
